A perfect base for your stay in Barcelona.
The apartment is in a completely renovated building containing 4 almost identical apartments. The building was renovated in 2004 and the end result is 4 lovely 1 bedroom apartments suitable for vacacion or business rentals. The feel is of a cool and bright space where it is easy to relax and take it easy.
The area surrounding the apartment:
The apartment is situated right in the centre of Barcelona, literally minutes' walk from the main Square or Plaça called Plaça Catalunya, the famous Las Ramblas, the old town or Gothic Quarter and Borne. The area itself which surrounds the apartment is a body of interconnecting narrow cobble stoned streets where you can wander around aimlessly for hours imagining how it was back in medieval times. The closest point of interest to the apartment is the Palau de la Música which is possibly the most dazzling work of modernist architecture present in Barcelona. This is located a mere 50 meters from the apartment building. Other areas of interest within walking distance from the apartment are the famous Las Ramblas, the Liceu opera house, the Barcelona City Hall on Plaça Jaume, the grandiose Gothic Cathedral which is one block from the apartment as well as the remains of the old Roman Walls coupled with many more treats from Barcelona's ancient and medieval past.
The apartment:
This lovely 1 bedroom apartment is on the 3rd floor of a recently renovated building with elevator and can accommodate up to 4 guests.
The open plan living-dining-kitchen area is bright and has large windows which allow lots of sunlight to stream in. There is also access to a very small balcony where you can stand and watch the world go by below. The sofa converts into a double bed for the third and fourth guests. There is a TV with satellite channels and a DVD player. The dining table and 4 chairs can comfortably seat all of the guests should you choose to eat in instead of choosing from one of the many fantastic restaurants which surround you. The kitchen comes equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge, combination washer/dryer, pots and pans, kettle, toaster, etc...
The bedroom has a double bed and a lovely antique wardrobe. There is also wardrobe space in the hallway leading to the bedroom where the third and fourth guests can store their belongings.
The bathroom comes complete with bath/shower, toilet and washbasin. Fresh towels are provided for guests on arrival.
The apartment has air-conditioning (hot and cold) throughout to make your stay enjoyable whatever the season and there is wireless internet for the business traveller or for catching up with family back home.
Guests from this building will have the use of a communal roof terrace during the summer months.
Whatever the reason for your stay in Barcelona, the Trovatori apartment will make it an enjoyable one.

Born
El Born is one of the trendiest neighbourhoods in Barcelona and has become even more so over the last few years, combining a perfect balance between historical treasures, culture and “coolness”; an area very much sought after by the locals as well as the visitors. This area also boasts some of the highest property prices in the city …. This wonderful neighbourhood is full of many great bars, cafes, restaurants and is especially great for one of a kind boutiques as well as other, very well known clothing brands, such as Custo. The Born area is in such a great location, close to the Old Port and the beach, it’s surrounded by all the other cool and interesting places in Barcelona such as Barrio Gotico, Barceloneta, Old Port and Via Laietana. The Park Ciutadella is also a quick 5 minute walk from this area, perfect for a long stroll after a lovely lunch in one of the many terraces the Born has to offer.
A main feature of this great area is the wonderful basilica Santa Maria del Mar, right in front of this magnificent landmark, Barcelona’s guests can enjoy tapas and wine and watch the world go by…Other spots not to miss include Paseo del Born which is full of great bars and makes this area a lively night spot; not far from here is the Picasso museum….. The Born also has it’s own market, Santa Catarina with it’s funky, bright coloured roof. And finally not to be forgotten is the fantastic Palau de la Musica, which is possibly the most dazzling work of modernist architecture present in Barcelona….

Location! What a great location..close to everything and a very nice area. We took our dinner on the terrace at night and it was lovely. No bugs, no eyes and really cool. There is a great take away pizza location close by as well. The apartment is well equipped, clean and very comfortable.

The apartment was in a good central position, which was great for getting around to see the sights. The staff in the checking in office were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean, and well equiped. Overall we were very happy with the service provided by Friendly Rentals and would certainly use the company again and reccomend to others.

Fantastic location and always felt really safe. The Apartment was really clean and cosy. The bed was very comfortable the shower good and we had all the mod cons we needed.The Terrace was just above us and it was just lovely to eat breakfast or have an evening drink and relax outside after a long day of sightseeing.It was a real bonus having the apartment just around the corner from the friendly rentals office.The Area was in such close proximity to everything 10-15 mins walk to the beach, 8 mins to Metro station. You are on the doorstep of the beautiful opera building just up the street from the Plaza de España and la Rambla also 10 mins walk. This is a fantastic alternative to a hotel room, I would 100% recomend this apartment for 2 people.

The apartment was very well situated, we arrived at the Friendly Rental office around midday and were given the keys even though it stated a 3pm check in. The apartment was very well equipped, clean and in a convienent location. I certainly will be using Friendly Rentals again. Found the staff helpfull and pleasant.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean, in good condition and comfortable. The booklet that we received with the keys at check-in was extremely helpful, also the staff ordered a taxi for us because we do not speak Catalan and we had to leave for the airport very early in the morning.
