The Del Mar II apartment is ideally situated between the old port of Barcelona or Port Vell and the gothic trendy area of El Born in Barcelona. This old port area at the bottom of Las Ramblas was once a real eyesore with old factories and disused buildings, but has been transformed beyond recognition since the 1980:s. Chic shopping, harbourside seafood treats, movies by the sea along with bars, discos and a world famous - and apparently Europe's biggest - aquarium have made this the perfect area for Barcelona's stopoff point to the Mediterranean. Also a five minutes' walk away guests are treated to the trendy gothic El Born district with its wonderful example of gothic architecture in the magnificent church Santa Maria del Mar.

The apartment:

The Del Mar II apartment, (which is on of two apartments, the Del Mar I apartment is in the same building and on the same floor) is a recently refurbished apartment located on the fifth floor of its building with NO elevator. The look is bright and modern with plenty of natural light and any guest will feel welcome and at home in this great apartment. With its excellent location and sunny modern design and lovely view of the Old Port, the Del Mar I apartment is a great choice for your visit to Barcelona.

Del Mar II apartment can accommodate four people although it is perfect for a couple with two children or three adults. The apartment's living and dining area is in the same space and with hardwood floor throughout together with wonderful touches of colour, this area is very inviting. The living room area has a sofa (which doubles as a sofabed for guests number three and four), TV, DVD and stereo. Here the guests can relax after a hard day of sightseeing or shopping. The dining area has table and chairs for all four guests. The bedroom of this apartment has a double bed and wardrobe space for the guests belongings - like the rest of the apartment it has a very modern look to it

The kitchen has been newly installed and is fully equipped with all the commonplace items like washing machine, oven, fridge, microwave, pots, pans, juicer, toaster and so on. The bathroom comprises of a bath/shower unit and a sink.

The Del Mar II apartment has air conditioning to ensure that you are nice and cool during the long and hot summer months and heating to keep you warm during the winter months...
