Area surrounding the apartment:
The apartment is located at the edge of the Old South area (also known as the Museum Quarter) and is very close to ‘the Pijp’ area. Here you find an abundance of cafés and restaurants and the famous Albert Cuyp market.
The Apartment:
The splendid living area downstairs features a comfortable sofa couch, arm chairs, open plan kitchen and dining table. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with stove, microwave oven, dish washer and fridge freezer. For your entertainment there is a large flat screen TV with DVD. A seperate toilet is situated in the hall.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is at the front of the apartment and is fitted with a double bed and en-suite bathroom with double sink, bath, separate shower and toilet. The other two bedrooms are located at the back of the apartment. One bedroom features a double bed and gives access to a small balcony. The other bedroom features two single beds. On this floor you can also find a second bathroom with shower and sink, a seperate toilet and the washer/dryer. It is important to know that there is no elevator in this building.
Oud Zuid (+Business District)
South of the Leidseplein is the 19th century Museum quarter, part of the Amsterdam-South district. It is a wealthy and beautiful district where the most important museums can be found: The Rijksmuseum, Stedelijkmuseum and The Van Gogh Museum. This makes the district a paradise for art lovers. In the Northern part of the district, the Old-South neighborhood is located. Luxurious boutiques, cafés and the majestic Concert Building can be found here. This is considered being the chicest part of the city. In streets like the P.C. Hooftstraat en Van Baerlestraat the latest fashion and exclusive brands are well represented. Also the amazing Vondelpark is located in this district. The Southern part of the district is the business centre of Amsterdam. There are mainly big offices of lawyer firms and multinationals. The modern architecture make some parts look futuristic and the public transportation towards the city and airport is great. In the afternoon the trendy cocktail bars open their doors for businesspeople that go out for a drink after work.
