The stately Old South area has the most expensive real estate in Amsterdam. Like the P.C. Hooftstraat, this is the street where the rich and famous do their shopping.
The Apartment:
The apartment has high ceilings, very large windows and gorgeous French doors, which open wide to a charming balcony offering a stunning view over the Cornelis Schuytstraat. The living room is fitted out with a comfortable sofa bed, a coffee table and for your entertainment there is a flat screen TV & DVD Surround System, where you can relax after a long day in the city.
The dining room has a distinguished air and the fully equipped kitchen with everything you might need is located at the back with access to another balcony. The bedroom design is minimal and clean, featuring a double bed, a night table, a reading lamp and a big wardrobe. South of the Leidseplein is the 19th century Museum quarter, part of the Amsterdam-South district. It is a wealthy and beautiful district where the most important museums can be found: The Rijksmuseum, Stedelijkmuseum and The Van Gogh Museum. This makes the district a paradise for art lovers. In the Northern part of the district, the Old-South neighborhood is located. Luxurious boutiques, cafés and the majestic Concert Building can be found here. This is considered being the chicest part of the city. In streets like the P.C. Hooftstraat en Van Baerlestraat the latest fashion and exclusive brands are well represented. Also the amazing Vondelpark is located in this district. The Southern part of the district is the business centre of Amsterdam. There are mainly big offices of lawyer firms and multinationals. The modern architecture make some parts look futuristic and the public transportation towards the city and airport is great.
