    Ethnographic museum with exhibits including the town charter, a 17th century altar, priests vestments and Manuel Cabanas wood engravings.

    Exhibits include an 12th century Arab well-cistern and other archeological artefacts.

  • Museu Etnografico do Trajo Algarvio: 
    Costume museum with dolls, carriages and Algarve rural handicraft on display.

  • Museu Munícipal de Arqueológia:
     Archeological artefacts from Silves. Open May to September 10:00-19:00 Tuesday to Sunday.

    Archeological museum covering Prehistoric, Roman, Visigoth, Islamic and Modern periods. Guided tours available.

  • Museu Municipal Doctor José Formosinho de Lagos: 
    Items from Lagos' history are displayed including archeological artefacts, minerals, paintings, Algarve ehtnography and marine world.
    Open Tuesday to Friday 09:30-12:30 and 14:00-17:00.

  • Museum Maritimo Almirante Ramalgo Ortigao de Faro: 
    Exhibits artefacts related to the Algarve's sardine fishing industry. Open 14:30-16:30 Monday to Friday.

  • Polo Museologico dos Frutos Secos: 
    Focuses on the methods of harvesting dried fruits including figs, carob and almond fruit.
