Das Apartment:
Beim Betreten der Wohnung wird Ihnen sofort ein Gefühl von Helligkeit und viel Platz vermittelt. Der Wohn- und Essbereich wurde modern und stilvoll gestaltet und es gibt ein großes und gemütliches Ecksofa, auf dem Sie sich entspannen und Fernsehen, eine DVD schauen können oder ein gutes Glas Wein genießen können. Von hier gelangen Sie auf die 40 m² große Terrasse, von der Sie einen wunderbaren Blick über die Stadt haben.
Die moderne und komplett eingerichtete Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was Sie benötigen, inklusive einer Kaffeemaschine, Entsafter, Toaster und Waschmaschine.
In der Wohnung gibt es drei Schlafzimmer. In einem der Schlafzimmer gibt es französische Fenster, die auf die Terrasse führen, ein komfortables Doppelbett, viel Platz im Kleiderschrank, einen Flachbildfernseher und ein integriertes Bad mit Badewannen-Dusch-Kombination. Während Sie im zweiten Schlafzimmer ebenfalls ein Doppelbett und einen Kleiderschrank finden, ist das dritte Schlafzimmer mit einem Einzelbett und einem Schreibtisch ausgestattet, so dass Sie es auch als kleines Büro nutzen können, falls Sie sich auf Geschäftsreise in Barcelona befinden.
Das zweite Bad verfügt über eine Dusche, Waschbecken und WC. In beiden Bädern werden bei Ihrer Ankunft frische Handtücher für Sie bereit liegen.
Außerdem gibt es in der Wohnung eine Klimaanlage, Heizung und einen kabellosen Internetzugang.
Das Mindestalter für Gäste beträgt bei diesem Apartment 30 Jahre.

Plaza Cataluña
Welcher auf Deutschübersetzt der Katalanische Platz bedeutet, ist der grösste Platz mi Zentrum Barcelonas und mit seinen 30000 Quadratmetern der drittgrösste Platz Spaniens. Einige der wichtigsten Strassen der Stadt sind mit dem Platz, welcher für seinen berühmten Brunnen und seine Statuen berühmt ist, verbunden. Bis ungefähr zur Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts lag der Platz ausserhalb der Stadtmauern.
Erst in 1858, durch eine Entscheidung der Regierung in Madrid, wurden die defensieven Stadtmauern abgerissen und somit erhielten die Barceloner die Möglichkeit auch ausserhalb des Stadtzenters zu bauen und somit wurde ein Volksentscheid über die Gestaltung eines neuen Viertels wurde gefällt. Der Entscheid viel auf Puig und Cadafalch (Architekt des modernistischen Gebäudes “Casa de les Punxes”) und endete in dem heutigen enormen Platz, entstanden zwischen 1925 und 1927.
Heutzutage ist es einer der Haupt-Treffpunte, verkehrstechnich sehr gut angebunden mit U-Bahn, Bus und Taxi. Ausserdem befindet sich dort die Bushaltestelle des Flughafenbusses und des Doppeldecker Stadtrundfahrtsbusses gleich gegenüber des Berühmten Kaufhauses “El Corte Inglés”.
Passeo de Gracia
Dieses ist eine der berühmtesten Strassen Barcelonas und man schlendert 1,5 KM zum “Plaza Cataluña” und zum “Las Ramblas”. Die “Passeig de Gracia” ist die Strasse mit den meisten Designerboutiquen per Quadratmeter in Barcelona. Von diesem Standpunkt erreicht man mit leichtigkeit weitere interessante Viertel wie das gothische Viertel sowie das trendige “El Borne”.
Besucher die in dieser Gegend wohnen können mit Leichtigkeit den berühmten Essensmarkt “La Boqueria”, ein Muss für jeden, auf der “Las Ramblas” entdecken. Ausserdem werden Sie die “Passeige de Gracia” mit ihren Designerboutiquen und Gaudis berühmten architektonischen Kunstwerken, dem “casa Battló” und dem “La Pedrera” welche als Weltkulturerbe bei der UNESCO eingeschrieben sind, erkunden können. Diese beliebte Strasse ähnelt sehr dem “Champs Eliseé” in Paris und formt das eigentliche Stadtzenter. Das erste urbane Projekt, welches dieser Strasse das Leben einhauchte, begann in 1821 und wurde vom Architekten Ramon Plana gestaltet.
Auf der “Passeig de Gracia” kann man sich problemlos für Stunden beschäftigen, nicht nur mit den Zahlreichen Boutiquen.

Everything in the apartment was great! But mostly, I liked the terrace and the view. The location of the building was also great. Besides, the very friendly and nice welcome we found when we reached made us even feel more relaxed and comfortable. If I ever planned to come again to Barcelona, I would definitely book this apartment again.

L'appartement est clair et moderne (conforme aux photos). Il a une très jolie vue sur la Sagrada Familia au loin ainsi que la Torre Agbar (illuminée le soir). Il est idéalement placé pour visiter Barcelone à pied (les Ramblas, la cathédrale, le musée de la musique) ou bien en métro (station au pied de l'immeuble et proximité immédiate de la place de Catalogne, véritable noeud de communication). L'internet fonctionne parfaitement. La literie est de qualité.

Location. It was a fabulous location. Close to everything! Metro, cafe's, El Borne, Gothic area, shopping, it had it all in easy walking distance. It also had a beautiful terrace, with great views and a comfortable layout. Marcel was punctual for check in and check out and very helpful with information. Emails with Friendly Rentals were returned promptly.

L'emplacement privilégié de l'appartement, tout est portée de marche, la tranquilité des lieux, la présence de trois chambres, les deux salles de bains, l'accueil de Fabio et Marcel, la terrasse, les équipements propres et modernes, le WiFi, l'ascenseur et de nombreux autres avantages. L'offre faite par Marcel de réduction de 10 % des fais à cause des travaux voisins à l'appartement a aussi été appréciée, bien que le bruit ne nous ait pas beaucoup dérangé.

La ubicación es inmejorable, cerca de las mejores zonas de Barcelona (Paseo de Gracia, el Barrio Gótico, Las Ramblas, Plaza Cataluña). Todo lo necesario está cerca (metro, supermercados, restaurantes. El Edificio buenisimo, impecable, los ascensores grandes y muy buena la atención de la sra encargada. Y lo mejor de todo? ... el apartamento, simplemente espectacular!!!! nos sentimos como en casa. La lencería de primera, el equipamiento perfecto, la decoración agradable, la terraza la disfrutamos aún siendo invierno, las plantas naturales le daban vida a todo, la vista divina y el lavandero muy útil. En fin, un sitio para disfrutar!!!

The balcony was AMAZING! Our greeter, Fabio was delightful. We were met at the specific pre-arranged time and departed at 7 am with prompt & kind service as well. The apartment was well equipped, tastefully decorated, satisfactory and DELIGHTFUL! The towels were plush and the beds comfy! The overall experience was lovely!

The location of this apartment is excellent. I also had my parents with me so it was perfect. Amazing view from the terrace. The apartment was fabulous and exceptional clean with a supermarket 2 minutes away. We stayed in the apartment in late May 2010 and had a great time. The host made it extremely easy to check in and the apartment itself is amazing. The photos do not do the apartment justice. The balcony has great views and the living spaces are extremely well furnished. We were 4 adults sharing the apartment and it never felt cramped. The location is also fantastic. It is less than a 1/2 block to the subway and cabs were extremely easy to catch just outside the front door. The apartment made us wish we had more than 4 nights for Barcelona - it was very hard to leave.

Location was great, ideal base for exploring the city. It is very central and in a safe area. The other main reason i booked this was for the terrace which we enjoyed using. I stayed at the Mahler Attic Apartment in Barcelona in January of 2010 with my aunt, uncle and adult friend. We were promptly greeted by Marcel who gave us a tour and helpful hints about the apartment. Pedro the doorman is very helpful and a truly delightful person, he made our stay quite welcoming. We also met a nice elderly lady named Conchita who lives on the first floor who told us to see her if we needed anything! As the apartment is a three bedroom two bath unit, the accommodations were perfect. The elevator was a must as there were elderly people in our group. Additionally, the location could not be better as it is in a safe neighborhood within walking distance to most sights. The metro stop is just a few steps away from the front door and taxis came by frequently, so transportation was easy. The apartment is a delight to be in, it is well furnished and it comes with everything you might need to make your stay comfortable. There is a nice diner right next to the building and several grocery stores nearby. We cooked our own meals many times, used the clothes washer and the enjoyed the outdoor patio. It was so much nicer and more welcoming than any hotel stay. The keys are somewhat tricky. We struggled to remove the building key from the front door, but learned from another resident that the key has to be flat to remove it. Also, the apartment door you must turn the key to the left and pull the door slightly to get it to open. Once we figured this out, it was smooth! Check out with Marcel was easy and Pedro even told us we were "exceptional people" and gave us a parting gift of some Cava. I would rent this apartment again if I should ever return to Barcelona! We loved the Mahler apartment.Especially the location which was very central..... and the roof terrace which was not only attractive with all the plants and flowers but was ideal in the early morning and in the evening. The apartment was clean, nicely decorated and well furnished and Marcel was extremely helpful and charming. We would definately stay here again and recommend this apartment to our friends. The staff at Friendly Rentals were not only helpful and service minded but also spoke exellent english. Thank you once again for making our trip so memorable and Barcelona is a wonderful city so I hope we will be able to visit again in the future.

The apartment was in close proximity to all the main areas of Barcelona, and close to all transport systems. The apartment was high enough not to be bothered by urban noise, and one felt at ease with a concierge on duty during the day.The apartment was clean, tidy and all the appliances were in good order.
