Among its many tourist attractions and sports, Euskadi has a natural attraction that is gaining popularity: surfing on the Basque coast.
Euskadi is one of the places in Europe where the surf school is most entrenched. The weather, underwater currents and the shape of most of
its beaches (and, why not say, the usual absence of sharks and playful dolphins) are some of the reasons that Euskadi is seen as the best place to surf in
Spain. The coast of Euskadi is for many surfers a true surf paradise.
The beach of Gros (or Zurriola) offers the riders of the waves a great opportunity. The beach district of San Sebastián de Gros is characterized by its high waves of at least two meters, clear water and fine sand, which attracts young surfers from all over the world. The beach will not suffer from crowding problems since it is really wide. Furthermore, this beautiful beach is also great for beginner surfers that want to practise their skills. Large numbers of models can be spot here, nudity obviously is permitted.
Also La Concha beach is very suitable for surfing. This beach is with about 54000 square meters a bit smaller than Zurriola. Even though it is used for surfing, the beach is primarily visited by vacationers in search of sun. These two beaches are a great advantage when visiting the wonderful city of
San Sebastián.
