The annually marathon of San Sebastian, will take place on the 28th of November.
3500 people will run trough the city and challenge each other to set a new record. Previous editions of the marathon in San Sebastian proved to be exciting and a joy to watch.
The route runs trough the city and along the coastline of San Sebastian. The route is almost entirely flat, witch makes it accessible for a wide public. For the first year the route is made traffic free and there are more sheltered places for spectators. If you want to run the marathon, don’t forget to reserve you’re booking because there are limited places.
For spectators the organisation arranged a couple of advantages. The general public can use public transportation for free from 7,30 in the morning till midday. This way, the marathon will also be contributing to environmental issues. Another improvement not only for athletes but for anyone coming to San Sebastian to watch the race will be the meeting points. Four different stands will be erected with music, food and drinks donated by Euskolabel and Alcampo. All the money earned will be donated to charities in Ethiopia.
