Go to the Milvio Bridge
and leave a padlock
We don’t
exactly know why, but one of the most popular destinations for roman couples is
the Milvio Bridge where they can admire the view of the river and the city all
lit up, in addition to make a promise of eternal love by leaving a padlock
bearing the initials of both lovers on the central lamp post on the bridge to
then launch the key in the river. Now no more padlocks can fit on the lamp posts
thus, chains have been fitted along the bridge so that lovers don’t give up on
their romantic endeavours. So, now you know that if you’re in Rome on Valentine’s Day, you have to head
down to this bridge with a padlock along with your promises of eternal love to
then throw the key in the river. How to get there: 1.Exit at stazione
termini,1: Walk 50 metres. 2.
Go to Termini: Get on METRO line A (BATTISTINI) for 4 stops. 3. Get off at
Flaminio: Walk for 150
metres. 4. Go to FLAMINIO: Get on line 2 (MANCINI)

Discovering
Rome on a Vespa
We presume you’ve
all seen the film “Roman Holiday” starring a young Audrey Hepburn who visits Rome on what was then her
modern Vespa, a vehicle which has never gone out of fashion and which in fact,
is the best way of travelling around the city. Thus, we thought that nothing
would be more romantic than hiring a vintage Vespa in memory of this film and
taking a tour around the streets of the city with your partner, Audrey Hepburn
and Gregory Peck style. You can do so with the company Bici & Baci, where
not only can you hire a Vespa, but also the famous 500s, the most vintage
Vespas and Calessino, the three wheeler vehicles. The choice is yours!
