The walls of the coliseum in Rome are set to shake to the sound of rolling thunder when thousands of Harley-Davidson enthusiasts roll into Rome. Drawn to Rome from the far flung corners of Europe they are set to lay siege to the historic centre of the eternal city as they celebrate the Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary from the 13th to the 16th of June 2013.

Primo Maggio, a gigantic annual music festival held in Piazza San Giovanni is to be celebrated this 1st of May (Labour Day) in the Italian capital, Rome. Set up in 1989, Primo Maggio has fast become one of the major and most anticipated activities on the Roman cultural calendar, as well as a major national and international event due to the fantastic line up every year and the presence of some of the top Italian musicians on the music scene, all heavily covered by TV and the press.

Every year, since 2006 the Roma Salsa Festival has been celebrated in the Italian capital. This event has quickly become one of the most important salsa events on the international scene. Thus, between the 19th and the 21st of November Rome will be alive with music, dancing, performances and dance classes for all levels with renowned national and international artists within an event unique to Italy.

Those of you who like tango and will be in Rome this Autumn are in for a treat because the Auditorio Parco della Musica will be hosting the Buenos Aires Tango 2010 dance contest between the 8th and the 19th of October this year. It is the one of the largest Italian music, song and dance contests to be celebrated in Rome.

Contemporary film fanatics are in for a treat as this autumn the Rome film festival season is approaching. It could be held in no other place than the Eternal City of Rome. Thus, the fifth edition of the Rome International Film Festival will be taking place between the 28th of October to the 5th of November in the Auditorio Parco della Musica, the spectacular public music complex designed by the prestigious architect Renzo Piano.

Between the 21st of September and the 2nd of December, the RomaEuropa Festival will be taking place. It is an event where the cream of the European art, music and dance scene gathers together for one of the most important events of this genre in the world. Dance, music and contemporary performance aficionados will be thrilled with the line-up, and given that the 25th anniversary of this event is being celebrated this year, they are going all out!

Less than 2 months are separating us from one of the most important sporting event of the year: the World Aquatics Championships. They will be held in Rome from the 17th of July to the 2nd of August and it is expected a participation of more than 4000 athletes, in representation of 173 countries, which will compete in five disciplines: diving, swimming, open water swimming, synchronized swimming and water polo.
