Once again, the 10th edition of this alternative festival is taking to the stage to do itself proud with performance in the Casa Encendida in Madrid. From the 1st to the 3rd of October these Madrid premises will be jam-packed full with a musical line up comprising new electronic underground sounds, workshops, and conferences. It’s a risky idea but it should attract all those that say they like experimental music. Exp’10 is not just a string of performances that follow similar guidelines. And, of course it’s a lot more than just a collection of bold sounds, musical know-how, and freaks of innovation. Exp’10 is, above all, the best way of discovering and enjoying new paths for music. Paths that on a handful of occasions people can try…and listen to.

Pioneering music concerts, innovation wise as well as on a retrospective vision level, is what concert-goers should expect in this new edition. The organisers have refused to invite names of indisputable international fame to dig right through to the bottom and get the purest form of Experimentaclub. However, drone doom metal fans will recognise the likes of Stephen O` Malley and his strange band Sunn O))) to then continue with his heavy sounds together with Peter Rehberg going by the name KTL. Also performing is Najda with their dark sound, in addition to the Experimental Audio Research (EAR), and the Lebanese musician Tarek Atoui really expoiting the abssence of boundaries in this musical edition.

The German veteran Bernard Günter will also be performing and demonstrating how his minimalist and economic music style has evolved, and is without doubt one of the greatest assets to an edition that despite focusing on the future, evolves through artistic evolution. The workshops, performances, and the colloquiums lined up will be in line with the matrix idea of this edition: memory as genesis of new creations, a force for innovation from the now. Because Experimentaclub’10 could be considered, amongst others, a good precedent.
