Things are now really taking shape in London as tickets for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games are now on sale. This exciting event will be divided into three principal areas and taking place in several different venues. The focal point is the Olympic Park which will be hosting the legendary and spectacular opening and closing ceremonies.
London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games
There are approximately 8.8 million tickets available for the Olympics coming to London between July the 27th and August the 27thth, with prices ranging from £20 to £725. Getting your hands on one of these coveted objects seems a challenge, however rather than allocating tickets on a first-come-first-serve basis there is actually an application system. It is now open, and will be until April the 16th during which time you can apply whenever and to whatever you choose from the wide range of tickets on sale.
When applications for an event exceed the number of tickets available, the lucky recipients are chosen via a random ballot. You can apply for a maximum of 20 sessions, and of course the more popular events will be those that cost less. Be careful, because once allocated a ticket you are obliged to pay for it.
The events schedule is now available with the corresponding ticket prices so you can now start to plan what you fancy seeing.
We recommend that you stay in an apartment in London so you can enjoy the Olympic events at your leisure. We also advise that you do so well in advance because prior to and during this period, finding accommodation in the largest city in Europe is going to be a challenge.

Prices: There are several different price categories. The cheapest at £20 a go and the most expensive £725. Discount tickets for some 200 sessions are available for children aged 16 and under whereby they pay their age (if you’re 12 you pay £12). Via ticketshare there will also be free tickets available for schools and other groups.
