Much as we enjoy the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, here in the holiday apartment rental trade. it’s not often that you get the chance to embrace it. Which is why we were happier than ever to find out that this week acclaimed rockers Acca Dacca will be staying with us in one of our apartments in Valencia.

The votes for our Halloween 2012 Travel Writing Competition are in. Contestants were asked to let us know about their “Scariest Experience in a Foreign Place” in 150 words or less, and the results were quite a journey! From Carnevale in Venice to the Atlas Mountains, your stories took us to places we’d only imagined in our darkest (and, in some cases, most humorous) nightmares.

Today, we bring you a Spotify playlist with a load of terrifyingly mood-enhancing music for your Halloween party. We could have chosen the most dismal, dark songs in the world, but we thought it was better not to frighten you off too soon (after all, we want you back to read our blog another day), so we’ve gone for a slightly lighter feel.
