Bank Holiday Weekend in Granada

Do you still have nothing planned for the bank holiday weekend in Granada? If you’re lucky enough to be able to take a few days off during the week around the 12th of October then don’t hesitate to go away on a little break and take advantage of the good weather before it starts getting cold. Here are three things that we suggest you could do to enjoy this bank holiday weekend in Granada to the max. The rest is up to you and this magnificent city.

Medieval market – In honour of the Granada Bank Holiday weekend, a medieval market is set up in the city every year.
More than a hundred stalls with craftwork goods and homemade food, as well as streetbands, music, oriental dancing, falconry, jugglers, theatre and fire shows await visitors. This year you will find it at Paseo del Violón on the Exhibition and Conference Centre terrace from the 8th to the 12th of October.
Escher in Granada – If you’re in Granada over these dates you will also get the chance to see the exhibition “M.C.Escher, universos infinitos” (Infinite Universes), showing some of the best pieces by this fantastic Dutch artist, master of optical illusions, impossible spaces and false perspectives.

Restaurants looking out to the Alhambra – If you’re travelling to Granada with your partner then you can surprise your better half with a romantic dinner in a restaurant looking out to the stunning Alhambra. Can you think of anything better than trying some typical Granada cuisine whilst contemplating the landmark Nazari palace all lit up.
