To join you in the adventure, here is our little tourist guide with the outstanding sights to visit in Granada.

We start a new month; it’s Friday and now is as good a time as any to start making plans for your next trip, and while winter is upon us Granada shapes up as the promised land, a pleasant climate, good skiing, tapas and beers, flamenco great atmosphere and lots of things to visit.

Spanish television presenter Raffaella Carrà once sung that you should “live every second to the full, in case the world ends”, and that to fall in love (and do other things) “you’ve got to go south”. Thinking about it, we can’t think of a better destination than Granada to spend the Spanish bank holiday on December 6th.

From the 8th to the 18th of November, the 33rd edtition of the Granada Jazz Festival will be celebrated. What with pianos, trumpets, guitars, saxophones, double basses and more, the pulse of the Andalusian city will keep time with the sounds of jazz.

La Alpujarra has been for many centuries one of the least well-known regions in Spain. Its austere and mountainous countryside, full of hills, peaks and valleys, means that this region has remained isolated. In fact, the only people who managed to stay here for a long period were Muslim settlers from Africa. Then, La Alpujarra was forgotten for a long time, until it was rediscovered by travellers and artists of the Romantic period.
