
The 3th of May is for almost cities and zones of Spain and Latin-America one reason of Christian celebration. The legend of the Cruz de Mayo is based on the history of the discovery by St. Helena of the Cross on which Christ was crucified. Although it is also almost certain that the origins of this popular celebration has its roots in pagan rituals, the truth is that in some places like Granada "La Cruz de Mayo" is still celebrated with fervor.
