Buenos Aires prepares for international musicians
Against the grain of the world economic crisis, the second half of 2009 will make Buenos Aires the center of numerous foreign bands, such as Depeche Mode, The Killers, Faith No More and Die Toten Hosen, who will be playing at a variety of showcases.
Just like the last couple of years, producers and musicians have been very open to the possibility of playing in South America, visiting Argentina and even Brazil and Chile.
Depeche Mode, who will start of the concert season, will perform from their latest album, "Sounds of the Universe", on October 17th at the Club Ciudad de Buenos Aires.
At the end of that month Faith No More, Die Toten Hosen, and The Prodigy will play at the Pepsi Music ’09 Festival. Other local bands will also perform at other locations.
On November 27th it will be The Killers turn, who will perform songs from their newest album, “Day and Age”, and other greatest hits at the GEBA, a large multi-use stadium.
