
Friday, friday, friday, friday……and once again there is an abundance of activities, concerts and events on offer in Barcelona this weekend. Just when you think you might stay in and take a break, but it would be a crime to stay at home when there’s so many things to do. Here are some of them!
Friday the 7th of October
RECORD FAIR – Collectors, music lovers and nostalgics should head down to visit the Record Fair this weekend. You will find CDs, vinyls, special editions, posters, merchandising and memorabilia of all kinds can be found at the stalls there. There will also be a exhibition of classic electric guitars and, of course, auctions for legendary items signed by some of the most famous musicians there are including DIO, Iron Maiden, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Queen, Madonna and AC/DC. EROTIC SHOW – The erotic festival in Barcelona will be hotting up the city this weekend. More than 50 exhibitors, workshops, competitions and live shows with the presence of numerous actors and actresses renowned within the erotic and porn sector, will be on offer. Where: Cornellà Fairground (53, Calle Albert Einstein. Cornellà de Llobregat).When: Up until the 9th of October. Price: 20 € day ticket. There are passes and discounts available.
Saturday the 8th of October

SITGES FILM FESTIVAL – The oldest film festival in the world has returned stronger than ever and with an impressive programme featuring more than 270 films. Pure cinema with a very good and varied selection of shorts and feature length films from all over the world. The central theme of this year’s edition will be the fascinating world of Artificial Intelligence. Where:Sitges. When: Up until the 16th of October. Price: They vary in accordance with the sessions and activities.

SENSATION INNERSPACE – The biggest travelling music and dance event has come to Barcelona. Sensation White started out in Amsterdam eleven years ago and has taken over the world since then. Performances by top DJs will be providing an unstoppable beat to the lights, fire, dance and acrobatics show. Remember that you have to wear white! Where: Palau St. Jordi (5, Passeig Olímpic). When: 8pm. Price: from 65 euro to 156 euro.
HAPPY FEET SWING – Take a trip back to the 20’s and get ready to enjoy a night of authentic swing, with DJ’s specialising in the genre and live music. From now on, every Saturday night, Marula converts into a dance floor where you can practise your steps and learn to dance the lindy hop with Aitor Leniz, teacher at the school of swing in Gracia. Where: Marula Café (49, Calle Escudellers). When: From 10pm. Price: 6 euro with a drink included.
Sunday the 9th of October
LOS MISERABLES – The longest running musical of all time, based on the novel by Victor Hugo, is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a special and modern production that doesn’t compromise event the slightest emotion of this lively show where misery, courage, love and the fight for freedom feature for a moving story. Where: Barcelona Teatre Musical (Avenida de la Guardia Urbana). When: Up until the 14th of December. Price: From 19,90 euro to 69,90 euro.
DIASPORA WITHOUT BORDERS – It comprises the eight edition of this project that aims to make people aware of the reality in Colombia and many other countries. Seminars, activities for children and above all cinema, allowing us to get closer to Colombian culture, are on offer. This year’s guest country is Brazil. Where: Various places across Barcelona. When: From the 7th to the 23rd of October. Price: Free.
