Some mature (but very young at heart) clients came to the office on Saturday looking for a way to home because of the volcano problem. They spent 2 hours with staff as they maybe weren't as computer friendly as some of our younger clients. After exhausting every possible mode of transport except walking or swimming! Bus, fully booked, train, fully booked, the finally hired a car to take them to Saint Malo for their Ferry on Thursday.
They were so grateful to us, that they even invited some of us out for dinner that evening... Being very considerate and considering that the clients were "melting" their credit cards making all these arrangement we felt that we could not take them up on their very sweet offer!
The clients are now on their way today and should be home in about 4 days. And, to our surprise, we received a lovely bouquet of flowers delivered to the office this morning to say thank you. Sometimes, when people are in difficult situations, they make the most of it. This lovely couple definitely made a pleasure to help them. So Lesley and Ted (you know who you are) - thank you so much for the lovely flowers, they are very much appreciated and a lovely surprise for a chaotic Monday morning. We hope you have a safe -if long- journey home.
