The votes for our Halloween 2012 Travel Writing Competition are in. Contestants were asked to let us know about their “Scariest Experience in a Foreign Place” in 150 words or less, and the results were quite a journey! From Carnevale in Venice to the Atlas Mountains, your stories took us to places we’d only imagined in our darkest (and, in some cases, most humorous) nightmares.

Today, we bring you a Spotify playlist with a load of terrifyingly mood-enhancing music for your Halloween party. We could have chosen the most dismal, dark songs in the world, but we thought it was better not to frighten you off too soon (after all, we want you back to read our blog another day), so we’ve gone for a slightly lighter feel.

All good things must come to an end. Having rapidly outgrown the available space in our old office, it was time for something new.

We’ve launched our new website! After many months of hard work, we are proud to present our new website with a bigger, better and bolder theme with features all carefully thought to improve the booking experience of our clients.

We at Friendly Rentals are very happy this week as we now have over 4,000 fans on Facebook! And every day we are getting more and more fans at breakneck speed! We’re convinced that at this rate, we’re going to arrive at 5,000 fans very soon!

Yesterday was a very special day in our Barcelona office as we received our 100,000 booking for an apartment in Seville by an Italian client, Giuleta Moretto. To celebrate her booking, she has been the lucky winner of a free stay in Seville.

Tracey’s reasons for being our Friendly Rentals official fan and ambassador won us over, so we invited the lady herself to Barcelona where we spoilt her rotten for her efforts, and asked her why she likes Friendly Rentals. Here’s what she had to say;
