The MACBA Museum in Barcelona
The MACBA museum, the modern museum of Barcelona is a great place to spend a summer evening. After the hot days in Barcelona, you can cool off in the MACBA, Museu dart Contemporani de Barcelona. Starting last month on May 25 until September 21, the museum will open until midnight on Thursday and Friday nights. Not only is the museum staying open late, but after 8 p.m. the cost will be lowered to only 3 euros. The cost also includes guided tours of the museum’s exhibitions. The museum is located in the center of town near Universitat (blue and red line) in Placa del Angels in the Raval Neighborhood. It is hard not to miss the building, because of its unique and modern design. On the first floor of the museum there is a bar- terrace for visitors. MACBA exhibits works from the second half of the 20th century. Going to the museum, and then going out for drinks or tapas is a great way to spend a hot summer Thursday or Friday night.
