Christmas in Barcelona
You'll always find a reason to visit Barcelona, and December is no different. As well as visiting the Santa Llúcia fair in the gothic quarters, this Christmas there is an additional attraction – the 10th Mil.lleni Festival. This musical event returns once again with some of the best groups that will be performing from the 9th of December until April. The diverse musical program is filled with renowned Spanish and international artists such as Fangoria, Antonio Orozco, Tracy Chapman and Michael Bolton as well as new revelations such as Russian Red. A definite must during your visit to Barcelona. For more information regarding the program click here.
Barcelona in December is even more magical than ever – with the Christmas lights, this year you will see large illuminated pasta shells – the typical galets that are eaten in a broth-like soup that the Catalans eat on Christmas day. Visit the Christmas market, the nativity scene in the Sagrada Familia, or try your luck with the Christmas Lottery El Gordo in the Gato Negro (Black Cat).
