Tour de France in Barcelona!
Yesterday the stage was finally over. After 44 years without to pass for Barcelona the route of the Tour de France once again we was surprised. Hundreds of people came out to watch the event. This race is one of the most important event in the world.
The winner of the tour yesterday was the norwegian cyclist, Thor Hushord. This morning it was also from Montjuïc and was heading to Andorra-Arcalis. The 224 km long road will be the longest and certainly not one of the easiest of the tour de France of 2009.
The Tour de France gets around 4,500 people and over 2,000 vehicles moving along its path every day. On 9 July, Barcelona was expected to see the arrival of this caravan at around 3 pm and the riders at around 5 pm.
