The Circuit de Catalunya, outside Barcelona, hosts the Gran Premio De España 2009, otherwise known as the Spanish Grand Prix, the 5th race of the 2009 Formula One.
The track is 12 miles (20km) north of Barcelona on the A7. The nearest major airport is Barcelona.
By Train: from Barcelona take the number 2 line from Sants, Passeig de Gràcia or Clot to Montmeló railway station. Trains arrive every half an hour and the journey takes just over 20 minutes. (If coming from Girona take the number 2 line towards Barcelona and get off at Montmeló).
From Montmeló railway station to the Circuit is a 30-minute walk.
Starting in Australia, there are 17 races in the Formula One season, across four continents, ending with the big finale in Abu Dhabi. Highlights include the Monaco Grand Prix, set on the roads of Monte Carlo, and the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, where you can expect passionate support from Ferrari's fanatical Tifozi.
