Those of you coming to Catalonia this spring will be delighted to know that Barcelona is celebrating its own Spring Festival. It may not be on par with the famous Seville Spring Festival but who can resist a fabulous feria anywhere comprising music, food, dancing and attractions, with an added Catalan twist.
Calalonia Spring Festival
Similarly to the Seville celebrations, the festival taking place from the 29th of April to the 8th of May, is divided into two areas. One side features many casetas, public and private, filled with merry crowds of feria-goers dancing the “Sevillana”, singing and eating, as well as taking part in a whole host of other fun activities, hurrah! Who says the Catalans don't know how to celebrate! Whilst, adjacent to these colourful canvas structures and merriments, there is a fairground graced by a huge Ferris wheel, as well as shooting galleries, amusements, an an exciting array of rides, in addition to some deliciously unhealthy fairground food! Plus, given that the Feria is set up on the seafront, visitors can expect some spectacular views of the Catalan coast which is not something that the Sevillians can boast.

Men will look dashing in their best festival outfits consisting of short jackets, tight trousers, and boots whilst the ladies will be donning their finest flamenco dresses for this magical occasion. To keep the party (and the guests) going there will sherry, camomile wine, and an array of delicious tapas for all.
Finally, famous Spanish singers and bands will be present for the entertainment of visitors and locals alike who head down to this exciting post-Easter event.
