Hi, my name is Melvin and I'm running Traveldudes.org.
On our travels, the best tips were recommended to us by other travelers or locals. As we shared our own travel story in an online diary, we soon decided also to share our experiences and travel tips. As there are so many more great travelers and adventurers out there, the next logic step was, that everyone could join and share travel tips you might not find in travel guide books.

b) Three places not to miss in Barcelona
1. Every football fan should go to Camp Nou when visiting Barcelona. It's the home ground for Barcelona's biggest and most popular sport team. It's even more, it's one of Europe's greatest footballing 'cathedrals' which 98'600 fans can attend. I would recommend to see a match, instead of having a tour. Tickets should start around €40 per person.
2. Visit the Parc de la Ciutadella, which is Barcelona's most central park. It's so big that you'll even find a zoo, a lake, several museums and even the Catalan Parliament in it. It's a great place to go to just stroll around and/or enjoy games or sports.
3. Experience the atmosphere of a square, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful squares in the world. It's well known for its nightlife and its architecture… The Plaça Reial, which is very close to the Ramblas.
c) Your hidden place in Barcelona
Explore the district Barceloneta, where you'll find many nice cafes & restaurants. Try a waffle of a street stand and/or maybe a paella with black rice "Arròs negre", which is made with the ink of squids.
Explore the Gothic Quarter and find hidden ruins. It's very close to the Barcelona Cathedral. Just walk down the Carrer del Bisbe until you'll get to a small plaza. Turn left there & left again at the next alley (Paradis). Turn right after the Irish Pub and you found it! Hidden Roman ruins! Marvel in their ancient structure, and the
horrible green color their room encasing is painted in.
