L'Appartement Olimpic à Barcelone

In the heart of the Villa Olímpica, a modern and striking area of Barcelona, by the beach and within easy access to Old Town Barcelona

This great three bedroom apartment in the heart of the Villa Olimpica is extremely convenient as the visitor is close to the Nova Icaria beach (300 meters) and yet within walking distance, approx 15-20 mins, to the Old Town of Barcelona, the Gothic Quarter, El Borne and the famous La Rambla.

The area surrounding the apartment:

During the games of 1992, the Villa Olímpica had to accommodate thousands of athletes and spectators. Architects from all over the world were called in and designed modern and stylish buildings. Some of the main features are the 142 meters high towers and the Arts Hotel in the Villa Olímpica which is surrounded by a steel frame, so it seems like it is in scaffolding. Another feature of this great area is the golden sculpture ‘Pez y Esfera’, designed by Frank Gehry, representing a headless fish, quite a sight!

The village also has a beautiful promenade which is full of sculptures, nice for leisurely strolls at any time of the day but even more so in the evening. This is a very lively neighborhood with lots of trendy restaurants and bars and the atmosphere is alive and palpable!

At a 10 min walk from the Olimpic apartment you will find the Villa's shopping centre, which houses the 15 screen Icaria cinema (all movies are shown in original version) as well as many restuarants, shops, supermarkets and pretty much anything you may need.

The apartment:

This lovely three bedroom apartment is bright and cheery with plenty of natural light and lovely wooden floors, making it very relaxing and a great place to choose for your visit to Barcelona. The look and feel of this apartment is modern, simple and elegant, with splashes of colour here and there, giving the apartment a nice feeling of warmth. The main bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom comes with two single beds which are placed together and the third bedroom comes with two single beds; all bedrooms have closet space....

There are two full bathrooms and both are independant; both come with a bath/shower unit, WC, sink, bidet, etc.. fresh towels are ready for use upon arrival...

The living room is completely equipped with TV, DVD and radio; here you will also find the stylish leather sofa, large and comfortable and perfect to sink into after a busy day of sightseeing and shopping.

The striking dining area with the tall chairs is perfect for enjoying a meal should the guest wish to prepare meals. The dining table and seating is for six guests.....

The kitchen is brand new, with modern conveniences to ensure your holiday is a hassle free one, with all the basics such as pots, pans, plates, cutlery together with juicer, toaster, microwave and dishwasher. The kitchen has a wonderful feature which is a seperate eating area with table, chairs and bench seating for everyone to enjoy their breakfast.....

Should your visit to Barcelona be for business as well as leisure this apartment has Internet connection.

The Olimpic apartment is very close to the beach, so guests will also be able to enjoy many a relaxing hour on the nearby beach. The air conditioning in the apartment will ensure that any time the hot summer days get too much you can relax in a cool, fresh atmosphere.

All linens and towels are provided as well as an iron and ironing board.
