A stylish, quiet and luxurious apartment in the heart of Barcelona's Ciutat Vella.
This stylishly designed apartment is very centrally located on Via Laietana. Because it is situated at the front of the building and is all exterior, it has plenty of light which makes it a very bright and airy apartment. This recently refurbished building in the very heart of Barcelona's Ciutat Vella has a fully renovated elevator to take you from the large and spacious entrance to the second floor where the apartment is located. With bars, clubs and hundreds of restaurants right on the doorstep of the apartment, you do not need to go far to enjoy all that the old town of Barcelona has to offer. A holiday stay at this convenient accommodation will make your adventures around Barcelona easy to plan.
The area surrounding the apartment:
The Chagall II apartment is located right in the middle of Barcelona city, making it accessible to all areas of interest in Barcelona such as the Gothic Quarter, Las Ramblas, El Borne and Plaça Catalunya. A short walk from the apartment you will find the superb food and produce market called La Boqueria on the famous Las Ramblas, an absolute must for any visitor to Barcelona. The apartment offers a quiet reprive from the bustling and very busy Las Ramblas but close enough for guests to walk to where the action is - two, three minutes on foot.
Walk out the front door of the apartment building and across the street and you will find yourself in the heart of the very trendy El Borne area, one of Barcelona's oldest neighbourhoods. An intricate maze of plaças and squares all interconnected by narrow, medieval streets where you will find lots of trendy boutiques and great bars, cafés and restaurants. Another option for the visitor staying at this great Barcelona apartment is to visit the Gothic quarter situated right in the heart of the old town. This is the area that fell within the medieval walls and, until 150 years ago, made up the entire city of Barcelona. The area is a body of interconnecting narrow, cobble stoned streets where you can potter around for hours exploring the shops and restaurants.
As you can see, should you choose to stay at the Chagall II apartment during your visit to Barcelona, you will literally find yourself in the heart of Barcelona's Ciutat Vella.
This lovely apartment is one of several we can offer in the building. The photographs are a selection of the various units. The apartments may vary slightly in the layout or décor but the features are the same. Your specific apartment will be allocated on arrival.
The Chagall II apartment has been completely renovated and modernized to achieve the quality and high standard necessary to make this a luxury apartment for our visitor to Barcelona. You can see this from the moment you step into the tastefully, classicaly styled foyer, as well as the perfectly preserved facade of the building. Even the elevator has been refurbished to retain its turn of the century origin (thankfully with up to the minute machinery). This 2nd floor apartment is perfect for four to six people and caters to their every need. The master bedroom has a double bed while the second bedroom contains two single beds. The decor of each bedroom has been kept tasteful and uncomplicated and there are large wardrobes in both bedrooms so that all visitors will have plenty of room for their belongings.
The living room area of the apartment encompasses the comfortable and stylish dining area suitable for four to six people. It is here that sunlight pours into the apartment from floor to ceiling though the large windows creating a lovely relaxed ambience. The modern and stylish sofa dominates the room and lends just the correct touch of warmth and colour (this is a sofa bed which pulls out into a queen sized bed and is very comfortable). In this room the visitor can relax and enjoy watching TV, or catch a movie on the DVD or simply chill out and listen to some music. All the artwork, which can be found throughout the apartment, is of course original, all the pieces are unique and were created especially for the Chagall II apartment.
The main bathroom contains the bath, shower, sink and toilet. The second bathroom is fully equipped with a large walk in shower, toilet and sink. The main bathroom is en suite to the bedroom containing the queen sized bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with state of the art appliances such as the vitro ceramic cooker, the oven, which also doubles as a microwave, washing machine and dryer and fridge freezer, all of which are top of the line. You will also find all of the comforts of home such as toaster, juicer etc., to make your visit to Barcelona easy and stress free. Bed linens, bathroom paper and clean towels are all provided.
This apartment is essential when considering a top of the line, luxury holiday in Barcelona with location, quietness and convenience as top priorities.
El Born is one of the trendiest neighbourhoods in Barcelona and has become even more so over the last few years, combining a perfect balance between historical treasures, culture and “coolness”; an area very much sought after by the locals as well as the visitors. This area also boasts some of the highest property prices in the city …. This wonderful neighbourhood is full of many great bars, cafes, restaurants and is especially great for one of a kind boutiques as well as other, very well known clothing brands, such as Custo. The Born area is in such a great location, close to the Old Port and the beach, it’s surrounded by all the other cool and interesting places in Barcelona such as Barrio Gotico, Barceloneta, Old Port and Via Laietana. The Park Ciutadella is also a quick 5 minute walk from this area, perfect for a long stroll after a lovely lunch in one of the many terraces the Born has to offer.
A main feature of this great area is the wonderful basilica Santa Maria del Mar, right in front of this magnificent landmark, Barcelona’s guests can enjoy tapas and wine and watch the world go by…Other spots not to miss include Paseo del Born which is full of great bars and makes this area a lively night spot; not far from here is the Picasso museum….. The Born also has it’s own market, Santa Catarina with it’s funky, bright coloured roof. And finally not to be forgotten is the fantastic Palau de la Musica, which is possibly the most dazzling work of modernist architecture present in Barcelona….
