Andalusia is a very varied community with very diverse sounds. Groups of all different music styles are continually emerging and combining and channelling traditional andalusian music with a musical diversity that characterises this southern community. As we like to do every week, we are reflecting upon the sounds of Friendly towns and regions so this week we’re focusing on the community of Andalusia where there is a large number of musical groups mainly from the more cosmopolitan towns, Seville and Granada.

The 3th of May is for almost cities and zones of Spain and Latin-America one reason of Christian celebration. The legend of the Cruz de Mayo is based on the history of the discovery by St. Helena of the Cross on which Christ was crucified. Although it is also almost certain that the origins of this popular celebration has its roots in pagan rituals, the truth is that in some places like Granada "La Cruz de Mayo" is still celebrated with fervor

Marc Metral, a prestigious French ventriloquist, Gaetan Bloom, an eminence in the magic world, Xavier Mortimer and a whole delegation of German illusionists, are some of the spectacular shows presented this year, and to be enjoyed on stage at the Teatro Isabel La Católica and Alhambra Theater.
